Project: Bi-directional Onboard Electric Vehicle Charger

Highlights: Bi-directional Onboard Charger (OBC) with highly integration transformer and compact packaging.
This is a very interesting project because this is the first time that I applied a lot of new designing techniques into the hardware to meet the high level requirement. This OBC is working at 3.3kW peak power and charging the EV battery following the State-of-charge. In the meantime, it can contribute “smart grid” by recharging the grid in the heavy-duty period when the vehicle is parking at home or workplace in the evening.
